The High School Apprenticeship Program falls within the Senior Years Technology Education Program.  In Manitoba, apprenticeship training is administered by Apprenticeship Manitoba of Advanced Education , Skills and Immigration. Apprenticeship is a training relationship involving a trainee (known as apprentice), an employer, and Apprenticeship Manitoba.

Students may earn from 1 - 8 high school credits.  Each credit requires 110 hours of paid work experience. A student must be 16 years of age (15 in the cook trade) and parent/guardian permission must be granted to participate in the program.

Please contact your schools Guidance Counselor for more information.  Once the student meets with their Guidance Counselor they will need to work with the HSAP Facilitator to formalize the apprenticeship agreement.
